Odisha State Planning Board to prepare report focusing on four sectors

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Planning Board decided to submit a report after reviewing four sectors to revive the State’s economy amid the COVID-19 pandemic. During a meeting chaired by State Planning Board Vice Chairperson Sanjay Das Burma, it was decided to prepare a report focusing on agriculture and allied sectors, MSME, public health and tourism sectors after discussing with scientists, social activist and economist and senior officials.

Before submission of the report to the Chief Minister and Chairperson of the planning board, discussion will be held with people from the sectors and different organsiations.

The Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Development Studies will function as the nodal agency.

Among others, Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, Planning and Convergence Special Secretary Gopabandhu Satpathy, Director of Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Development Studies Srijit Mishra were present in the meeting.
