Odisha STF nabs hardcore absconding drug trafficker from Hyderabad

Malkangiri: Odisha STF arrested hardcore absconding drug trafficker ThyilShyam Sunder during a raid in Hyderabad.

With help of Hyderabad Police, a team of STF and Malkangiri district police conducted raid at Saikrishna Nagar village in Amberpet area in Hyderabad on April 8 and apprehended the interstate drug trafficker.

ThyilShyam Sunder alias Kajabai, a resident of Saikrishna Nagar in Hyderabad, was wanted in a case in Chitrakonda under sections 20(b)(ii)(c)/29 of NDPS Act, 1985.

On October 3 last year, Chitrakonda Police had seized around 10.51 quintal (1051 Kg) contraband Ganja, one TATA ACE Goods Carrier and other incriminating materials from the possession of accused person identified as N Balu, a native to East Godabari district of Andhra Pradesh.

During interrogation, the accused confessed that he was transporting the huge amount of ganja by the direction of ThyilShyam Sunder.

ThyilShyam Sunder was one of the masterminds in the case as well as a noted interstate drug trafficker. He was absconding since occurrence of the case, Odisha STF said in a release today.

Based on inputs from accused N Balu, Odisha STF conducted a raid and nabbed the mastermind. Following his arrest, he was produced before the IV Addl. Chief Metropolitan Court in Hyderabad for transit remand. After obtaining transit remand, Odisha STF produced him before the District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Malkangiri.
