Bhubaneswar: After a video featuring several students of Odisha narrating their ordeal of being tortured and harassed at the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan in Agartala, Tripura came to fore, the Odisha Government today decided to send a two-member team to take stock of the situation.
Director, Higher Education, B Parmeswaran and Shree Jagannath Sanskrit University Vice Chancellor Prof Radha Madhab Dash will visit Agartala to sort out the matter, official sources said.
On the other hand, DGP RP Sharma spoke to his counterpart in Tripura to ensure safety of the students, sources added.

On learning that Odia students were facing problems in Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, the DG(P) spoke to his counterpart in Tripura to ensure security of the students, Prof. Radha Madhab Dash, VC, SJSU, Puri & Parmeswaran B, IAS, Director visiting Agartala to sort out the matter.

Meanwhile, Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb spoke to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in this regard and assured full protection for students.
Students from Odisha are Tripura’s children too.
No anti-social activities shall be allowed on the land of Ma Tripursundari.

Worth mentioning, around 100 students hailing from Odisha have alleged in the video that they were assaulted by other students of the educational institution after they did not extend their support to a recent strike.
