Odisha teacher to be conferred with National Award

Bhubaneswar: The Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) has nominated a teacher from Odisha to confer national teacher award for his contribution to the noble profession in the country.

Pabitra Mohan Dash is among 46 teachers in the country selected in the list to receive the honour from President Ram Nath Kovind on occasion of Teachers’ Day.

Currently, Dash is posted as the Assistant Teacher at Project Upper Primary School in Khataluguda in Boriguma area of Koraput district.

He will be conferred with the National Awards to Teachers at a ceremony scheduled at Vigyan Bhawan on September 5 in New Delhi.

Worth mentioning, the HRD Ministry confers national awards to teachers every year to celebrate the unique contribution of some of the finest teachers in the country and to honour those not only for improving quality of school education but also for enriching the lives of their students.
