Odisha telly actor Jessy returns Raja’s belongings

Popular television actor Pralipta Priyadarshini Samal aka Jessy handed over various possessions of deceased actor Ranjit Patnaik alias Raja to Odisha’s Soro police after her five-hour marathon interrogation on Saturday.

She handed over three gold rings, chain, wallet, ATM card, cash and other things belongings of Ranjit Patnaik to the police.

At the time of Raja’s accident, he was carrying cash, two ATM cards, Biju Krushak Bima card, PAN card, wallet, three gold rings and chain with him.

Raja had Rs 14,000 with him of which Rs 3,000 was spent for treatment while Pralay had kept Rs 11,000 with him which he handed over to police, according to sources.

On February 13, Jessy, event coordinator Pralay Jena and driver Dhaneswar Behera were again questioned by Soro police. The police also recorded a statement of the ambulance driver who had taken Raja from the accident site to Bhadrak district headquarters hospital.

Since the case has reached a crucial stage, the investigations are being conducted by SP Niti Sekhar, who has asked for a polygraph test to be conducted at State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL), on the trio.
