Odisha: Temp likely to rise by 5°C in 8 places including Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Heat wave conditions are likely to intensify in Odisha as the Regional Meteorological Centre has predicted rise in day temperature by 5 degree Celsius in eight places of the state, including capital city Bhubaneswar.

“Hot weather condition with above normal maximum temperature (day temperature) by about 5°C very likely at some places over the districts of Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Balasore, Angul, Mayurbhanj during next 2 days,” a bulletin of the Meteorological Centre said today.

It advised to take precautionary measures for hot weather while going out between 11 am and 3 pm.

Maximum temperature (day temperature) very likely to be above normal by 3-4°C at many places over the districts of Odisha during next 3-4 days, the bulletin added.
