Odisha thrash Mizoram 6-0 in national men’s hockey; top pool

Maintaining their winning streak, Hockey Gangpur of Odisha thrashed Mizoram 6-0 goals in their last league match in the 4th Hockey India Senior Men’s National Championship at Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium here today.

With this win, Hockey Gangpur has topped the Pool-C group.

The Odisha team drew first blood in the 3rd minute when Ashish Anmol Minz scored through a field goal. Ten minutes later, Banamali Xess scored the second while Ashish Anmol Minz netted the third through a penalty corner.

The Mizoram players had no clue how to stop the marauding Gangpur team as Mangal Kispotta and Dillip Kerketta scored two goals in the 23^rd and 30^th minute.

In the second half, Sashi Topno scored a brilliant field goal in the 4^th minute stretching the lead to 6-0.
