Odisha: Three get lifer in 2012 Khalikote kidnapping, murder case
Berhampur: The Additional District Judge (ADJ), Chhatrapur of Ganjam district today awarded life imprisonment to three persons in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Yudhistir Nahak at Khalikote in 2012.
The three convicted are Dillip Acharya, Pramod Behera and Krushna Chandra Das.

However, the court acquitted six other accused, who were earlier arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch in this connection, due to lack of evidence.
In August 2012, the body of Nahak, who was the father of the then Councillor of Khallikote NAC Shankar Nahak, was found floating in Samala barrage near Talcher. He was kidnapped from his home by the miscreants on July 18.
