Odisha: Three more aides of gangster Tito arrested

Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch today arrested Nabakishore Pani, Allaudin Khan and Salman Khan, two more aides of gangster Sayeed Usman Ali, alias Tito in connection with his alleged links with cattle smuggling.

Sources said the STF has handed over the trio to Nayagarh police, which will interrogate them over their various criminal activities, including illegal transportation of cows.

Earlier on Thursday, Saroj Pati and Batakrishna Pani, closed associates of Tito were also arrested for their involvement in cattle smuggling.

Earlier in the day, the notorious gangster was taken on a three-day remand in connection with one Taher Ali firing case.

The remand has been granted by Salepur JMFC court. The court has asked the police to produce Tito before it again on August 27.

During the remand period, the gangster will be interrogated for his alleged links in the case.

The STF has so far arrested around 18 associates of Tito, who has been in judicial custody since being arrested on June 30.
