Odisha to fill doctors’ posts in two years

Bhubaneswar: In view of doctors’ shortage issue that continues to afflict primary healthcare system in the state, the government is mulling to fill the vacant posts in two years.

“There will be no doctors’ shortage in Odisha. The recruitment will be completed within two years,” said Naba Kishore Das, the new Health & Family Welfare Minister of Odisha post assembly elections 2019.

The healthcare is always a big challenge for the state. However, the government is committed to provide quality healthcare services to the state people in all types of situations, he added.

Notably, Das was allotted a chamber at the 3rd floor of state secretariat yesterday after assuming the charge as the Health Minister in Naveen Patnaik cabinet.
