Odisha to get 26000 doses of Covaxin, over 2.2 lakh doses of Covishield soon

Bhubaneswar: Amid uncertainty over continuation of COVID-19 vaccination drive for 18-44 age group in Odisha, here is a good news. The state is likely to receive 26000 doses of Covaxin and 227750 doses of Covishield by June 7 and June 9, respectively, said Health Department sources.

Odisha currently has a stock of 8980 doses of Covaxin and 18690 doses of Covishield for 18-44 age group.

Earlier, vaccination drive for the age group was likely to be affected in the state due to shortage of vaccines.

It is pertinent to mention here that thousands of people aged between 18-44 years are waiting for their second dose of Covaxin in Bhubaneswar as their due dates have already arrived.
