Bhubaneswar: Odisha, which is reportedly left with less than 25 tigers, will soon have three more tiger reserves, informed Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) Sisir Ratho today.

Speaking on the occasion of International Tiger Day, the official said the state Government has planned to create three more tiger reserves in Gandhamardan forest of Bargarh district, Barbara forest in Khordha-Nayagarh districts and north Athamallik forest in Angul district.

He further said after Similipal and Satkosia, Sunabeda forest is likely to get the tiger reserve status.

Currently, there are 51 tiger reserves spread across 18 states in the country.
