Odisha to have ‘golden share model’ super speciality hospital in Paradip

New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: A super speciality hospital in ‘Golden Share Model’ will come up soon in Odisha’s port city Paradip as the Ministry of Shipping has approved a project proposal this month.

The consultant is preparing the documents for Paradip Port Trust and will provide the same by the end of July, 2018, a source said.

Earlier, the Centre had planned to establish a super specialty hospital in Paradip on PPP mode in collaboration with two reputed hospitals like Apollo and AMRI in Bhubaneswar.

However, the hospitals had not agreed on the proposal.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Shipping decided for redevelopment of hospitals at all the major ports in the country.

Recently, the Standing Finance Committee of Ministry of Shipping on July 11 approved a model for Mumbai Port Trust Hospital called Golden Share Model.
