Odisha to launch online single receipt to reduce rush at RTOs

Bhubaneswar: In view of heavy rush at regional transport offices (RTOs), Odisha government is set to launch a single receipt system tomorrow allowing the applicants to deposit fee and all types of charges online.

The system will be introduced for payment of learner’s licence (LL), driving licence (DL), vehicle registration, permit, fitness and other charges online.

With launching of ‘Online Single Receipt’ mechanism, the applicants need not to stand in long queue at RTO counters to pay service provider charges and dues. They can deposit fee online in a single click, informed the State Transport Authority (STA), Odisha.

Earlier, the applicants were depositing charges separately by visiting the RTO counters. However, the state government simplified the payment process for the users to avoid rush at the RTOs.
