Odisha to open 13 new primary health centres

Bhubaneswar: Two months after the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India has pulled up Odisha Government over poor healthcare facilities, the State government on Tuesday decided that it is going to set up 13 new Primary Health Centres (PHCs) at different places of the state.

“The state government will set up as many as 13 new Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in the state soon,” said Health Minister Pratap Jena.

He further informed that five PHCs will be upgraded to Community Heatlh Centres (CHCs) and Sub-Divisional Hospital facilities will be extended to six CHCs.
