Odisha to partner with Centre for imparting skill training

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has agreed to partner with the Union Ministry of Textiles to impart skill training under Samarth, a scheme for capacity building in textile sector.

A target has been set to train as many as 3150 persons in the categories of apparel and garmenting, textiles and handloom, handicrafts and carpet, and metal handicraft.

After training, employment will be provided to these beneficiaries in various textiles-related activities.

The training programme involves advanced technology oriented features like Aadhaar Based Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS), CCTV recording, dedicated call centre, Mobile App based Management Information System and online monitoring.
