Odisha to reel under heat wave condition from March 16 to 18

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to sizzle under heat wave condition from March 16 to 18, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted today.

Maximum temperature (day temperature) is very likely to rise around 3 to 4 degree Celsius during the next 2 to 3 days and no large change thereafter. Maximum temperature will be above normal by 3 to 5 degree Celsius at one or two places over the districts of Odisha during March 16 to 18, the Meteorological Centre said.

Below is day-wise forecast in connection with the heat wave.

March 16: Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Angul, Nayagarh, Khordha, Balasore and Mayurbhanj.

March 17: Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Angul, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Nayagarh, Khordha, Balasore and Mayurbhanj.

March 18: Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Angul, Sambalpur and Jharsuguda.

The Meteorological Centre had advised people to take precautionary measures while going outside between 11 am and 3.30 pm in the districts.
