Odisha to revise norms for payment of answer sheet evaluation

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to bring reforms in Higher Education department, Odisha government decided to revise norms of payment to teachers for evaluation of answer sheets.

The payment of examination answer sheet evaluators will be increased in Odisha, informed Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo today.

This was decided at a high level meeting chaired by Minister Arun Sahoo on Wednesday.

Official sources said that the payment of teachers, who are preparing the questions for the examinations, will also be hiked.

With the move, the teachers will be paid Rs 30 each for answer sheet evaluation. Similarly, the payment of teachers for preparation of examination questions will be hiked from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000.

Besides, Sahoo directed the officials to set up one evaluation centre for examination answer sheets. As per the revised norm, 15 colleges will have one evaluation centre.
