Odisha to submit DPR on Smart City by tomorrow

The Odisha government is all set to submit a detailed project report (DPR) to Centre on Smart City by tomorrow.

A high-level committee, under the chairmanship of Odisha Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi here today, approved a detailed project report (DPR) on Bhubaneswar and Rourkela for their inclusion in the Smart City project which would be submitted to the Centre by tomorrow.

The DPR of Rs 4,500 crore for Bhubaneswar and Rs 2,341 crore for Cuttack will be submitted to the Centre, the meeting revealed.

In a meeting held at the Secretariat here, the committee stressed on development of health services, sewerage, traffic management, public transport system and parking, among others.

Earlier in the day, a Smart City plan for Bhubaneswar for Rs 4,537 crore was submitted to the state government. On Saturday, the Council of BMC (Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation) had approved the plan to be included in the Smart City Mission of Union government.
