Odisha: Train services affected due to heavy rainfall

Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall in Odisha due to depression affected train services in Koraput–Rayagada line near Sikharpai–Keutguda section, today.

The incessant downpour caused falling of trees and boulders on the track, due to which the following trains were short-terminated.

* Train No. 08546 Visakhapatnam-Koraput train leaving Visakhapatnam on 14.08.2022 short terminated at Rayagada and will return from Rayagada to Visakhapatnam as 08545.

* Train No. 08545 Koraput-Visakhapatnam train leaving Koraput on 14.08.2022 was short terminated at Sikharpai and returned from Sikharpai to Koraput as 08546.

The Waltair Division of Railways provided refreshment to the stranded passengers at the Sikharpai station. Men were engaged in removal of the boulders to restore the train services as early as possible.
