Odisha tribal girl makes it to U-18 volleyball national team

A tribal girl from Odisha’s Malkangiri district has made in to India’s U-18 of volleyball team.

Sirisa Karami, a Class X student of Kalimela Kanya Ashram, impressed the selectors during the quarter final match at the 43rd National Championship at Ernakulam in Kerala.

Sirisa will undergo one-month training at Aurangabad in Maharashtra.

According to report, she will play her debut match in China.

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan congratulated Sirisa for her selection.

“Heartiest Congratulations to Sirisa Karami, a tribal girl student from Odisha’s Malkangiri for making into India U-18 Volleyball team,” Pradhan tweeted.
