Odisha: Truck runs over auto-rickshaw; 3 killed on spot

Koraput: Three people were killed and five others injured when a truck ran over an auto-rickshaw near Dayanidhiguda in Koraput district today evening.

An auto-rickshaw carrying eight persons was hit by a truck from behind near Dayanidhiguda under Sadar Police limits. While three persons travelling in the auto-rickshaw died on the spot, five others sustained grievous injuries.

The critically injured were rushed to the local hospital.

Locals said the mishap might have occurred due to the darkness on the road.
