Odisha: Three students drown, 2 rescued while taking bath in sea

Puri: In a tragic incident, three engineering students drowned while taking bath in sea near Pir Jahania shrine in Astaranga area of Odisha’s Puri district today and two others were rescued and hospitalised.

The deceased have been identified as Subha Soumya Senapati, Amit Mohanty and Abinash Pradhan.

The five youths, students of a private engineering college in Bhubaneswar, had gone to the beach for picnic. While taking bath in the sea, they got swept away with tides.

Locals present at the beach managed to rescue two of them in a critical condition and admitted them to hospital.
