Odisha: Two youths meet watery grave in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: In a tragic incident this morning, two youths met watery grave while taking bath in Chitrotpala river near Patkura in Odisha’s Kendrapara district.

The deceased have been identified as Sharif Khan from Kendrapara and Basan Khan from Mumbai.

According to sources, Sharif and Basan had come to visit their relative’s house to attend a function. This morning, they had gone to the river to take bath and unfortunately drowned in the water body.

As they did not return back, the family members started searching for them and found slippers and a soap case at the spot.

Later, they informed the Fire Service about the incident. Fire Service personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies from the river.

The bodies were sent to the Patkura Urban Primary Health Centre(UPHC), where doctor confirmed the deaths.
