Odisha: Union Home Minister to address public meeting at Dhamnagar on March 26

Bhubaneswar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Odisha on March 26.

The Union Home Minister will address a public meeting at Sainlapur under Dhamnagar Assembly constituency in Bhadrak district, said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lekhashree Samantasinghar today.

“The Union Home Minister will pay obeisance to Baba Akhandalmani at Aradi and address a public meeting at Sainlapur under Dhamnagar Assembly segment during his visit to Odisha on March 26,” Samantasinghar added.

Shah will also hold a meeting with BJP leaders and workers at Dhamnagar, she said.

The Union Home Minister is scheduled to meet the office-bearers of BJP Odisha unit, senior leaders and legislators of the party in Bhubaneswar before returning New Delhi on the same day, Samantasinghar added.

It is worth mentioning here that the Union Home Minister Had visited Odisha in August Last year.

The senior BJP leader had offered prayers before Lord Lingaraj in the capital city here and visited Netaji Birthplace Museum at Odia Bazar in Cuttack.

He had also attended several events in the twin cities during his two-day visit to Odisha in August, 2022.

Notably, BJP candidate Suryabanshi Suraj had won Dhamnagar by-election by defeating ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) candidate Abanti Das in November last year.

The by-election was necessitated due to the death of sitting BJP MLA and Suraj’s father Bishnu Charan Sethi in September, 2022.
