Odisha unlock: Opening of Nandankanan Zoo, Botanical Garden re-fixed

Bhubaneswar: Keeping in view of recent COVID-19 guidelines issued by the State Government, the Nandankanan Zoological Park re-fixed the opening of the zoo and botanical garden for visitors.

As per a notification by the NZP dated today, the Nandankanan Zoological Park and State Botanical Garden will remain open from Tuesday to Sunday at usual timing between 7.30 AM and 5.30 PM till further order.

The zoo and botanical garden will remain closed on every Monday for visitors as weekly closure day.

The Nandankanan authority urged all visitors and staff including various services licencees or vendors to follow the Covid appropriate behaviour on premises of the wildlife habitat to prevent transmission of the virus.

Earlier, in the unlock process in Odisha, the zoo and botanical garden were closed for visitors on every weekend after the State Government issued Covid guidelines for the month of August.

After the State Government lifted weekend shutdown in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri towns while issuing Covid guidelines for the month of September, the NZP went for re-fixation of opening days of the zoo and botanical garden for the public interest.
