Bhubaneswar: The results of undergraduate (Plus 3) last semester examinations of Utkal University were published today.
The university also declared the toppers’ list for various undergraduate subjects under Arts, Science and Commerce streams, said a notification issued by the varsity Examination Controller Sarat Kumar Majhi.
According to Majhi, as many as 25,039 students had appeared the Plus 3 Arts final semester examinations under various hounours, out of which 19,504 (90 per cent) have cleared the tests. At least 2,017 students were declared unsuccessful in the exams while the results of 3,508 students have been withheld by the university authorities.
Altogether 312 students had appeared the exams under Arts General category, out of which 266 have cleared the tests. A total of 20 students have failed to clear the tests while the results of 26 others were withheld by the authorities.
Similarly, 13,607 students had appeared the Plus 3 Science Honours exams, out of which 11,605 have been declared successful. The results of 1,430 students have been withheld by the authorities while 572 have failed to clear the tests.
Altogether 86 students had appeared the examinations in Science General category, out of which 66 were declared successful. Nine students have failed to clear the exams while the results of 11 others were withheld, said the university sources.
As many as 4,147 students had appeared the examinations in Commerce Honours category, out of which 3,166 have cleared the tests. At least 380 students were declared unsuccessful in the exams while the results of 601 have been withheld.
A total of 25 students had taken up the exams in Commerce General category, out of which 19 were declared successful. Two students have failed in the exams while results of four others have been withheld, sources said.
