The team led by Puri Vigilance IIC Biswaprakash Patnaik physically measured the length, breadth and height of these temporary camps including measurement of the reception, help desk and toilets. The team verified these measurements with that of the details provided in the tender document.

“We had received an allegation of misappropriation in the construction of these camps. On orders from our seniors we are conducting technical inspection of these camps to find out whether money was misappropriated,” informed Patnaik.

It may be mentioned here that ‘Sachetan Nagarik Manch’ had lodged a complaint before the DSP Vigilance here yesterday alleging largescale irregularities and misappropriation of public money.

Notably, the state government had constructed these camps for habisialis at an expense of Rs 69.56 lakhs.
