Berhampur: Odisha Vigilance officials today arrested Dibakar Patra, Additional Tehsildar, Buguda on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to reports, a team of Berhampur Vigilance raided Patra's residence in Buguda this morning following which the official was arrested.

A staff of the Tehsil office was recently caught red-handed by the anti-corruption agency during which Patra's alleged involvement had also come to fore, reports added.

"Dibakar Patra had managed to escape from a Vigilance trap a few days ago while taking bribe through a clerk namely Dillip Kumar Mallick," said Mayadhar Swain, Berhampur Vigilance SP.
