Days after suspended IAS officer was released on bail, Odisha Vigilance have slapped a fresh case against Partha Sarathi Mishra over corruption charges during his tenure as Managing Director (MD) of the Odisha Small Industries Corporation (OSIC).
“Partha Sarathi Mishra during his tenure as Managing Director, OSIC entered into criminal conspiracy with Ajit Kumar Padhi, Ex-DGM, Commercial Division, Santanu Kumar Tripathy, Joint Manager, Commercial Division and Sudhansu Sekhar Otta, Junior Manager, Commercial Division of OSIC abused their official position and dishonestly issued appointment letters to 49 dealers between February 2016 and April 2016 for sale of Tiscon rebar without obtaining no objection certificate from Tata Steel Ltd which is in contravention of the channel guidelines,” the Vigilance department said in a release here today.
Besides, the anti-corruption wing has also registered case against the said officials and 49 newly appointed dealers.
On the other hand, Vigilance cell has registered a case under section 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d)(e) of Prevention of Corruption Act against Mishra in disproportionate assets case which is under investigation.
Notably, the beleaguered bureaucrat was granted conditional bail by the High Court last month.
