Odisha weather alert: 23 dists likely to experience thunderstorm today

Bhubaneswar: As many as 23 districts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm today, the Regional Meteorological Centre forecasted.

“Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Boudh and Rayagada. Also, heavy rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore,” the Meteorological Centre predicted.

No large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) at most places over the districts of Odisha during next 4-5 days, it added.
