Odisha weather alert: 8 districts to experience thunderstorm

Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm is likely in eight districts of Odisha today, as per predictions of the Regional Meteorological Centre.

Moderate thunderstorm and lightning is likely in one or two parts of Angul, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Gajapati, Ganjam, Koraput and Rayagada.

Thunderstorm will also be accompanied by light rainfall and wind gusting at 40 kmph, as per the weather bulletin.

These weather conditions will prevail between 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm in these areas today.

Parts of Balasore, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj were predicted to experience moderate thunderstorm and lightning between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm earlier today.
