Odisha weather alert: Thunderstorm likely in 10 dists, temp to fall

Bhubaneswar: As many as 10 districts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm today, the Regional Meteorological Centre forecasted.

Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Kandhamal and Rayagada, it predicted.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Khurda, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha, it forecasted.

Regarding temperature across the state, the Meteorological Centre said maximum temperature (day temperature) likely to fall gradually by 2-3°C at many places over the districts of coastal Odisha during next 2-3 days and it will gradually fall by 2-3°C over the districts of interior Odisha after 3 days.
