Odisha weather alert: Thunderstorm likely in 9 districts

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre issued thunderstorm alert for nine districts of Odisha today.

Parts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh and Rayagada may experience moderate thunderstorm and lightning.

According to the latest weather bulletin moderate to light rainfall and gusty wind at 40 kmph is also likely in these areas.

Such weather conditions are likely to prevail between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm today, as per the forecast of weathermen.

On the other hand, the western part of the state is likely to turn a boiling cauldron with probable temperate above 45 degrees Celsius.
