Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience rainfall, hail as the Regional Meteorological Centre here has issued ‘Yellow Warning’ in this regard.
“Thunderstorm accompanied with hail very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Boudh, Kalahandi and Angul today,” the Meteorological Centre forecasted.
“Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh and Sonepur,” it added.
Light to moderate rainfall activity is very likely to occur at many places during January 11-14 over districts of Odisha due to anticipated western disturbance towards eastern India and strong moisture incursion from Bay Bengal.
Also, isolated thunderstorm accompanied with hail and heavy rainfall is likely to occur in some districts of Odisha during the period. Some impact on agriculture is expected due to this weather phenomenon, the agency said.
