Odisha weather update: 9 districts to experience thunderstorm

Bhubaneswar: The latest weather bulletin forecasts thunderstorm for nine districts in Odisha today, even as some places in the coastal state experience rise in temperature.

Moderate thunderstorm and lightning will occur in one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Balasore, Angul, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Bhadrak, and Ganjam.

These areas will also experience light rainfall accompanied with wind gusting at 40 kmph.

The Regional Meteorological Centre here has predicted these weather conditions between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm today.

Earlier in the day, such thunderstorm warning was issued for some areas in Balasore, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada and Kandhamal.
