Odisha weather update: Rain likely to drench these dists today

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience rainfall and thunderstorm today, the Regional Meteorological Centre forecasted.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of north Odisha and at a few places over the districts of south coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Kalahandi and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha, the Meteorological Centre predicted.

Orange Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning and thunder squall wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph very like to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Khurda and Kandhamal.

Yellow warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Dhenkanal and Cuttack.

Thunderstorm with lighting accompanied with gusty surface winds, speed reaching 30 to 40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Khurda, Puri and Jagatsinghpur.
