Bhubaneswar: A day after filmmaker Nandita Das and journalist-radio raconteur Neelesh Misra were reported to be guests at BhuFesto, a five-day storytelling festival in Odisha capital, the duo today clarified that they had never given approval to be a part of the event.
Taking to Twitter, Das said she had not accepted the invitation citing prior engagements. "Not sure why my name is in the list," she wondered.

Similarly, Misra, replying to Odisha Sun Times' tweet, asked why his fans in Odisha being misled and his name misused.

"I have no such assignment on my calendar. Apart from a customary mail to my team there has been co communication on this with the organisers of BhuFesto I have great affection for my listeners in Odisha — please don’t mislead them and don’t misuse my name," he added.
It was earlier reported that Das and Misra will feature in BhuFesto starting from December 6.
Notably, BhuFesto is part of the larger .FEST, Bhubaneswar's 16-day festival of food, entertainment, storytelling and city trails, organised by Bhubaneswar Development Authority and Odisha Tourism. The festival dates run parallel to those of 2018 Men's Hockey World Cup taking place in the city.
BhuFesto will take place at IG Park, Buddha Jayanti Park, and Kharavela Park from December 6-10.
