Odisha witnesses slight increase in COVID-19 single-day tally

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is witnessing a slightly upward trend in COVID-19 single-day tally for the last two days with 94 fresh cases reported today. With this, the state’s total caseload further surged to 3,37,018.

On February 24, the state had reported 68 fresh cases and yesterday, the number witnessed a quantum jump with 89 people contracting the virus.

Of the total fresh cases detected from 21 districts today, 56 are quarantine cases and 38 local contact cases. Sambalpur and Bargarh reported fresh cases in double digits with the former registering highest 17 cases.  

Currently, the number of total active cases in the state stands at 650 while 3,34,400 patients have recovered from the disease so far.
