Odisha woman cop draws praise for honesty

Bhubaneswar: Bhanumati Mallick, a woman Constable of the Commissionerate Police drew praises from different quarters for her exemplary work.

Bhanumati, who has been engaged at the Mahila Police Station under the Bhubaneswar DCP jurisdiction, found a male purse containing 20,000 cash, ATM and Identity cards at Unit-I haat. She showed her sincerity and honesty and deposited the male purse at the Capital Police Station.

The owner of the male purse was identified as Amanprit Singh working with the 120 Battalion in Bhubaneswar.

In presence of senior police officials, the woman Constable handed over the valuables to its owner Amanprit today.
