Talcher: A woman police officer fell into vigilance net here today for accepting bribe in a case.

The accused Mahosmita Panda, the IIC of NTPC Town Police Station, was arrested by the vigilance sleuths while taking bribe of Rs 10,000 from a person identified as Subhendu Dash.

Sources said that Panda was receiving bribe to help in a case to grant bail.

The matter is being investigated by the Cuttack and Angul vigilance.
