Odisha woman escapes sex racket trap, alleges hubby involved in flesh trade

A tale of love-sex-deception came to fore after a woman escaped a sex racket trap and lodged a complaint with Mahila Police station in Odisha capital alleging her husband of forcing her into illegal activities after their marriage.

The woman victim belongs to Baripada town in Mayurbhanj district. She leveled a serious allegation against her husband revealing how she was deceived by him.

According to reports, the woman was a divorcee. After parting her way from first husband, she was introduced to Abdul Rehman of Khandagiri area on Facebook. He helped her in getting a job in an insurance company in Bhubaneswar. Later, both fell in love with each other and tied the knot. The couple was staying in a rented house in Baramunda area after marriage.

The woman came to know about her husband’s alleged involvement in sex racket few days after their marriage when few girls belonging to West Bengal started staying in their house. Abdul’s real identity was revealed when he forced his wife into the flesh trade. When she opposed to it, Abdul was physically assaulting her and confined her in the house locking the door outside.

One day, Abdul had forgotten to lock the door. Taking advantage of the situation, the victim managed to escape and went to Baripada where she met the Mayurbhanj SP and narrated about entire episode. As the incident had occurred in Bhubaneswar, she was suggested to lodge the complaint in the capital city.

Police have recorded the victim’s statement and collected information about Abdul.

She said that her husband was an employee of the State Secretariat.
