Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has recommended the DG and IG of Odisha Police  to change the cadre of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Traffic DCP Saumya Mishra to Punjab.

In a letter, the CP said the IPS officer has applied for change of her cadre from Odisha to Punjab on the ground that her husband Deepak Pareek, a Punjab cadre IPS and presently posted at Ludhiana.

"Her representation along with marriage registration certificate is forwarded herewith a recommendation for favourable consideration," said the CP.

The Traffic DCP is a native of Uttar Pradesh while her husband hails from Rajasthan. The 2014-batch IPS officers had tied the knot on November 22, 2015.
