Odisha woman stripped naked, thrashed by in-laws; video goes viral

Kendrapara: A 24-year-old woman was allegedly stripped naked and thrashed by her in-laws at Koruk village under Nikirai police limits in Odisha’s Kendrapara district, yesterday.

A video of the incident has gone viral on various social media platforms.

On the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim’s uncle, police have started an investigation into the matter.

As per reports, the accused assaulted the woman over dowry demand. Police have recorded the statement of the victim.

Her in-laws absconded after the incident while efforts were on by cops to trace and apprehend them.
