Odisha Women Commission chief quits

Bhubaneswar: Lopamudra Buxipatra today resigned as the Chairperson of Odisha State Commission for Women ahead of the completion of her term.

Along with her, Minati Behera also quit the post as the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities.

The resignation of two women personalities from two major posts indicated a possible big reshuffle in the Biju Mahila Janata Dal, a women wing of the ruling BJD.

Both Lopamudra and Minati are likely to get important charges in the party following the resignation.
