Odisha youth arrested for circulating nude images of woman on social media

Police today arrested a youth and forwarded him to the local court in Umerkote in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district for allegedly circulating nude images of a young woman on social media.

According to reports, the youth identified as Rakesh Mahaldar was arrested by the police after family members and boyfriend of the young woman reported the matter at Umerkote police station.

Rakesh had allegedly created a group on social media platform WhatsApp and had circulated morphed nude images of the young woman on it, the complaint said.

Others involved in the crime will be arrested soon, said a police official of Umerkote police station.
