Odisha youth embarks on 5000 km bike ride to create awareness

Bhubaneswar: Embarking on a long trip with a motorcycle covering over thousands of kilometers sounds exciting! Here’s a youth from Odisha capital is all set to make it true for a noble cause.

Siddharth Shankar Panda began his solo travel on his Hero Xpulse 200T from Bhubaneswar to Tawang with a social message – plantation – against environment pollution.

His journey ‘Tour de Tawang’ could be tagged as the biggest motorcycle ride of the year as he will cover about 5,000 km crossing dangerous highways, trails amidst freezing temperatures to reach the mountain town in Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, which is famous for 17th-century Tawang Monastery.

According to reports, Siddharth commenced his long tour early in the morning on Sunday with a motto for massive plantation on his way to his destination.

“Riding with a social cause of plantation. Cuz we believe we are the last generation on earth who can make some real changes. Make sense right?,” Siddharth, a former motorcycle racer, posted on his Facebook before he embarked on his journey.

Interestingly, Bharat Hero has joined his programme. The long ride with Xpulse 200T, Hero’s latest model, will certainly reveal the motorbike’s performance.
