Odisha youth found hanging in front of house, family smells foul play

Salipur: A youth was found hanging in front of his house late on Friday night in Salipur area in Cuttack district.

The deceased identified as Jamiruddin, a resident of Balia Shankarpur village under Salipur police limits, was a truck driver.

His mother Sakina Bibi alleged that her son was murdered over love affair.

According to reports, Jamiruddin was in love with a girl near his house. But, the girl’s family did not agree for their marriage.

Even, the youth had received death threat for his relationship with the girl.

The complaint alleged that the girl’s brother had visited her home at around 10.00 pm last night and took her son with him. Jamiruddin had told his mother to have dinner after returning to home. However, he did not come back.

When the family members opened the door at around 1.00 am hearing dogs’ barking outside, found Jamiruddin’s body hanging in front of house.

Without delay they took him to Salipur Community Health Centre (CHC), where he was declared dead.

Sakina lodged a complaint against the girl’s family members alleging them of killing her son.
