Bhubaneswar: Sachin Behera from Nuapada district brought laurels for Odisha by getting his name in the Guinness Book of World Records for third time. He performed the record 104 knee strikes in one minute.
The 21-year-old youth from Lakra village under Boden block of Nuapada district broke a record set by Pakistan’s Muhammad Rashid. Sachin Behera is son of Laxmi Prasad Behera and Arati Behera.
It is worth to mention that Rashid had set the record of performing 100 full contact knee strike wearing five kg ankle weights using alternate legs in one minute in male category on June 6, 2021.
At an event in Bhubaneswar, Sachin tied 5 kg weight on his ankles and hit knee pad at chest level 104 times in one minute. He broke the record set by Rashid.
Sachin is interning with the Physiotherapy department at Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
In 2019, Sachin had registered his name in the Guinness Book of World Records by striking an object 137 times with two knees in one minute.
