Bhubaneswar: The police in the Odisha capital here have arrested a 29-year-old youth on charges of making the obscene pictures and videos of his former girlfriend viral on social media.

The arrested has been identified as Raj Kishore Behera of Balikuda in Jagatsinghpur district.

Behera came in contact with a girl from Puri district through social media around six months ago. Soon they developed a relationship, sources said.

Behera had captured the pictures and videos of his intimate moments with the girl in his mobile phone.

He had allegedly threatened the girl to make those pictures and photos viral on social media once their relationship turned sour, sources added.

Behera allegedly made those pictures and videos viral on social media in April this year after the girl cut all contact with him, police said.

The girl had lodged a complaint in this regard with Mahila Police after in the capital city here.

The police nabbed Behera from a place in Cuttack yesterday night, sources said.
